Lodging at the Gaffer Inn

What a wonderful time we had. The inn is right on the same street as all the shops and everything fun to do in Corning. The rooms are beautiful with many things that you wouldn't expect like a fireplace and an air conditioner. Tiffany lamps, a huge leather couch and ottoman, kitchen supplies and more and so much more. Please give this place a try. There's only four rooms but they are wonderful

Room was clean and well appointed. No noise from downstairs or other rooms. Keyless entry and check in and out worked great! Back stairs could be better marked, but the bartender was great and showed us where to go! They add to the atmosphere. Good location for hanging in a cool part of town (we did not do so), and close to the CMoG and the highway. Happy to support a small business, enjoyed our stay and will do so again if we need to be in the area!

Massive plush rooms in an old newspaper publishing building directly across the street from the Corning museum. Complimentary $10 gift card to the restaurant and bar downstairs was a nice touch. Overnight parking is free from 5pm to 9am, free reserved parking would be a good change in the future.

Great location right downtown so you can stroll to restaurant or shops with ease. The room itself was larger than we expected with a living room, couch, tv and a kitchen with amenities. A good price, nice and clean, and quiet despite being located in town. Parking is in a lot behind their building which is free overnight but you must pay during the day. We'd return!

Our room was wonderful, bigger than some apartments! Food at the restaurant downstairs was amazing. Parking a bit inconvenient, but not enough so to keep us from coming back. Would give more stars for room and service if we could. Returned for our anniversary, and was just as impressed! Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. Will likely make this our pick for weekend getaways.

**5/5 Stars – A Lovely, Reliable Place in a Perfect Spot** We’ve been staying at the Gaffer Inn regularly for the past five years and it’s become our absolute go-to whenever we’re in town. The rooms are comfortable and well-kept, with really good beds and everything needed for a relaxing stay. Large rooms are always clean and pleasant, and the price feels like excellent value. The location is unbeatable – the Gaffer Inn is right on Market Street itself, which is one of our favorite streets anywhere: fantastic cafés, independent shops, restaurants and a wonderful atmosphere from morning until night. Everything is literally on the doorstep, so we can step straight out into the heart of things and make the most of every visit. Booking is easy, communication is friendly and prompt, and the team are genuinely helpful and welcoming throughout the stay. Any little request is sorted quickly and with a smile. Five years of returning again and again says everything. It’s comfortable, perfectly placed, great value and looked after by people who clearly care. We always look forward to coming back and would happily recommend the Gaffer Inn to anyone.

We liked Gaffer Inn a lot. Love Corning...the museum and the town. Shops, people, burger place downstairs ... all terrific. Room and bed comfy, easy to book, pleasant. It's always more fun staying in town and off the highway. Theres always room for improvement but no deal breakers. We will definitely stay there again if we get the chance.

Big comfortable room with lounge area, only stayed for a night but beds were very good, room was clean, fridge in the room with small kitchen area to make coffee, microwave in room. Local public parking behind the lodge and rear stair access from carpark to rooms. All 4 rooms are on the first floor with no lift. Room had a en-suite with a large shower but no bath. Room was air conditioned. Had a decent sized tv with large 3 seat couch/sofa
